Antique and rare garage Colonial Beacon Oil co bottles and carrier case box.
A little history from what I can find online,
The Colonial Beacon oil company was formed in 1928 with the merger of the colonial oil company and the Beacon Oil company. The company was located in Boston and had stations throughout New England, Long Island and the eastern edge of upstate New York. They were purchase in 1931 by the Standard Oil company of Nee Jersey and used as their outlet for their New England stations for Esso gasoline.
Box says on lid Property of Colonial Beacon Oil Co Inc
Measures 18 1/2 tall, 12” deep and 13 1/2” wide.
16 bottles, 14 say contents 1 Quart when sealed, two do not, so I’d say those two were replacements at some point although they are the same size and design.
Needs a really good cleaning
