    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1950 Esso road map of Kentucky and Tennessee, printed more than 70 years ago.
    This map opens to 24" x 33½" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    There are inset plans of Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, the TVA lakes, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
    This map was published by the Esso Standard Oil Company in 1950 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 1049.
    The artwork on the front cover shows the Parthenon at Centennial Park, in Nashville.
    Condition:
