    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1970 Esso road map of Canada's Atlantic provinces — New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Nova Scotia, printed more than 50 years ago.
    This map opens to 24" x 34" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the General Drafting Company.
    There are insets of various cities, including Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John, Charlottetown, Sydney, St. John's, and Halifax, along with a list of principal ferry connections.
    The map was distributed by Imperial Oil Limited to promote its Esso brand and is dated 1970 in the legend. The code number on the back panel is P170. The cover illustration is by Gerry Sevier.
