Our aluminum oxide (
Econoblast
TM
) is a special blend of white, pink, and brown aluminum oxides, as well as other abrasives that makes for a tougher and more economic choice in many applications. It performs as well as, if not better than, white aluminum oxide in most cases. It is a very environmentally-friendly product that is made from recycled grinding wheels otherwise destined for the landfill.

Removal of rust, scale, sand, or paint from fabricated components
Producing surface profile for an increase of surface area prior to coating (increasing bond strength)
Roughening of industrial gas turbine engine component surfaces in preparation for thermal spray coating

Aluminum Oxide
Synthetic Aluminum Oxide is a silica-free, inert compound with a tough, crystalline structure and a uniform hardness of 9 on the MOHS scale (Diamond is 10). It performs as an excellent blast cabinet media where the grit is contained for re-use, capable of up to 30 or more reuses. These properties combined with uniform particle sizing provide
