Presented for your consideration is this neat antique traveling/portable phonograph. The phonograph is believed to be a Excelda traveling gramophone made by Thorens. It is a camera style phonograph, meaning that it was made to look like portable cameras of the time and has a black metal case with rounded ends. On one side of the case is a speed lever and an opening for a crank. The top of the case has a small plaque at the bottom which reads "Patented Made in Switzerland." The top of the case easily comes off and reveals the phonograph inside. The phonograph easily assembles and disassembles. Guaranteed to be old. Dates to the 1930s. Comes with a crank and at the time of listing it is WORKING. This neat portable phonograph would make a great addition to any music memorabilia collection!
Missing the needle. End of the crank is broken but still works just fine. Some light to mild paint wear. General light wear from age and use. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the best details.
When closed it measures 11" long, 4 3/4" wide and 2" deep.
