Anton Bauer firmware upgrade chip for the 4 port 2702  chargers. A mote on the new "GO" batteries from Anton Bauer, these are dumb batteries and do not work with intelligent chargers. The GO batteries are meant for entry level shooters who can no afford AB chargers and do not need the high end electronics in other AB batteries. Your buy it now is for ONE (1) chip . Your charger must be in operating condition, this chip will not fix a broken charger. The second pic of the chargers is for reference only ,chargers NOT included. The 2400 and 2700 series look the same but the 2400`s are not upgradable.  To check if yours is a 2400 or 2700 look near the XLR on the back, if it list 40 watts its a 2400 and if it says 70 watts or more its a 2700.
A note on Titon Batteries, the charger will not handle the 26 volt version but will charge the 14/15/16 volt versions. Titons will not read correctly on the display but I have been assured by AB the batteries will charge at the correct rate as the chemistry is the same and they accounted for them in the firmware.
Remove a few screws and pull out old firmware chip, then insert new one. You can now use your old charger on all of Anton Bauers new and older batteries (except GO). Without this firmware trying to use newer batteries on older firmware will result in no charge or worse over charge and or battery damage. I have been upgrading many clients chargers so they do not have to buy new chargers with new batteries. I also took the cheaper rout and upgraded my 2702. This is a PLCC chip so you will need a PLCC chip puller to get the old chip out. You can use other things to remove the chip but I do not recommend it. I would find a tech guy and borrow the PLCC puller or buy one on EBAY. Inserting the chip can easily done with a finger. I can do this for you at a cost of plus shipping. I have a vary limited quantity of these as a over buy so if you need more than one ask. Anton Bauer gets + shipping, my liquidation of this overbuy is .50 per with free shipping!
