..the plot of the poem Juno and Avos (1970) and a rock opera is based on real events and is dedicated to the journey of the Russian statesman Nikolai Petrovich Rezanov to California in 1806 and his meeting with the young Conchita Arguello, the daughter of the Spanish commandantSan Francisco.
