**This product glows in the dark but it is not made with bioluminescence or uranium type products that omit its own glow. It does require a charge of light for it to glow. When it arrives it will have been in a closed envelope in the dark for the duration of shipping. All you need to do is expose it to light for a while and the pipe will glow. More/brighter light=more glow. Try holding your cell phone flashlight to it for a bit and then turn off the lights. Essentially they come with a "dead battery", the light will charge it.
