This tiny screw is a replacement part and not an original old piece.
These are meant to hold your needle into place.
Without one in your reproducer, your needle will slip out.
These hold the needle snug into your reproducer/soundbox.
If your reproducer is missing a thumbscrew, this is a good replacement.
This piece may not work/fit in other brand of phonograph reproducers.
